I've been asked to write plays and musicals for all sorts of subjects, a shopping centre, a graveyard, a ship builders and even a football team, (I'm not a big fan of football). 

I was asked by my friend John Gorman to create a fifteen minute operetta for The Open which was being held in Hoylake, just up the road from me. Now, as with football, I'm not a golfer and have not really been interested in the sport but it was a challenge. So I wrote Golferetta.

 

With the assistance of Lorraine and her choir we performed at the Royal Liverpool Golf Club at a celebration prior to the Open and a Gala Dinner as the Open finished.

 

It is tongue in cheek and a little bit silly but was recieved extremely well.
